ONE GOAL, TWO CLEAR ROUTES

The right fire system
for the building.

A family home and a commercial property do not have the same fire-safety requirements. We start with the premises, occupancy and risk—then recommend the appropriate residential or EN54 system.

RESIDENTIAL FIRE PROTECTION

Different risks.
One connected warning.

Detector combinations can cover smoke, dangerous temperature rises and carbon monoxide. If one connected detector identifies danger, interconnected alarms can sound throughout the property so the warning is not limited to one room.

EN54 COMMERCIAL FIRE PROTECTION

Clear control across
the whole premises.

The EN54 range is designed for commercial and municipal facilities. Its wireless addressable architecture can reduce disruptive cabling while providing clear zone information, fault reporting and coordinated alarm signalling.

01

Control & indicating equipment

A central touch-screen interface provides alarm cause, time, room and zone information, alongside fire, fault, test and disablement states.

02

Smoke and heat detection

Wireless addressable point detectors are available with smoke or heat sensing, including versions with integrated sounders.

03

Sounders and visual alarms

Dedicated sounders, visual alarm devices and combined units coordinate warning across the building.

04

Manual call points

Manual activation points allow occupants to raise the fire alarm immediately when danger is identified.

05

Zones, faults and testing

Up to 40 fire zones support clear incident location, while zone testing helps maintain the system without creating a full alarm.

06

Monitoring and integration

Alarm transmission, app access, I/O modules and configurable fire scenarios support a planned response for the premises.

DESIGNED, INSTALLED, EXPLAINED

Fire protection without
the uncertainty.

The correct system depends on far more than floor area. We consider room use, escape routes, occupancy, detection type, audibility, siting and ongoing testing before recommending equipment.

01

Site survey

We inspect the property, discuss its use and identify the areas and risks that need to be addressed.

02

System design

You receive a clear proposal showing the recommended detection, warning, control and communication devices.

03

Professional installation

Devices are fitted in planned positions, commissioned and tested, with disruption kept to a practical minimum.

04

Handover and care

We explain operation, testing and notifications, and outline the maintenance appropriate to your system.

GOOD TO KNOW

Fire alarm
questions.

Which detectors does my home need?+

That depends on the layout, fuel-burning appliances and how each room is used. Smoke, heat and carbon-monoxide sensing serve different risks, so we recommend the combination during the survey.

Will every detector sound together?+

Compatible connected detectors can raise an interconnected alarm, helping make the warning audible throughout the home rather than only near the initiating detector.

What does EN54 mean for a commercial system?+

EN54 is a family of European standards covering components used in fire detection and alarm systems. The commercial range is designed around these requirements; the final design must also reflect the premises and applicable fire-safety obligations.

Can the fire system send notifications?+

Yes. Depending on the system configuration, authorised users can receive fire, fault and status information in the app, and commercial systems can be designed for alarm transmission to a monitoring service.

Do fire alarms need testing and maintenance?+

Yes. Testing and maintenance requirements depend on the system and premises. We explain the routine at handover and can discuss an appropriate ongoing plan.

Can residential detectors work if the hub is unavailable?+

Compatible residential fire detectors retain local detection and built-in audible warning. App notifications and coordinated system responses depend on the wider system being available.

How long do residential detector batteries last?+

Depending on the model, sealed-battery versions can provide up to ten years of operation, while replaceable-battery and mains-powered options are also available. Actual service conditions and settings matter.

How do modern detectors reduce nuisance alarms?+

Compatible smoke detectors use dual-spectrum optical sensing and software processing to help distinguish smoke particles from dust or other non-volatile interference. Correct detector selection and siting remain important.

Can a fire alarm trigger other safety actions?+

Depending on the system, automation scenarios and commercial I/O modules can support emergency lighting, ventilation control or alarm transmission. These responses must be designed for the premises.

Does a wireless EN54 system still have backup power?+

Yes. The commercial control equipment supports dedicated 24-hour or 72-hour internal battery options. The appropriate arrangement is selected as part of the compliant system design.
